I took away these lovely souvenirs from todays IF Road Ride at the Bicycle Escape. Worst part was I was on Tom’s custom IF when it happened. Luckily the bike came away unscathed with the exception of some scraped up bar tape. The crash ocurred when myself , Mehdi and Matt Bracken (IF Pres) were descending a tad too fast on todays ride.
I’m beginning to think I need a new nickname. I’m tired of Grumpy-J and well my bodies getting somewhat tired of living up to Crashmore.
On the bright side I figure how often does one get the chance to wreck when riding with the likes of Matt Bracken? I’ll do a full ride report tomorow.
IF Night At The Bicycle Escape
Sunday, August 27th, 2006Saturday night was the IF night at my local Shop The Bicycle Escape. Tom and Danniel held a kick ass event at the shop Satuday night where special guest Matt Bracken (President Of IF) spoke a bit about his company and the industry as a whole. Matt had a ton of great insight to share and was amazingly passionate about both IF and bikes in general. I must admit I now want an IF hard tale more than ever. Matt also had a few IF bikes to show off during the evening. Among them was his personal custom XS which sports a solid gold head badge and the prototype reynolds 953 road bike.
It was a great night of fun at the local bike shop. I consider myself lucky to have such a cool shop just a few minutes away.
I took a bunch of photos which you can find here.
Paying The Watershed Tax Part II

I know Karrie is gonna enjoy this one…
Paying The Watershed Tax
Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006I found myself on the ground on more than one ocasion during this past weekends ride at the Watershed. I really have a Love/Hate relationship with that trail system. I’ve had some of my best and worst days up on that mountain. My right leg has been a little sore since Saturday. Tonight when getting into the shower I noticed why. I haven’t had a bruise this good since my hand surgery.
